Modernism Week
In celebration of mid-century architecture and design, The Den returned for its second year to Modernism Week’s signature home tour in February 2024. Attendees were able to explore The Den, a William Krisel & Alexander-built home, along with other midcentury gems in the historic Racquet Club Estates neighborhood.
Welcome to
The Den.
This newly-restored midcentury pool home was designed by William Krisel and built by the Alexander Construction Company in 1959.
With its signature post-and-beam construction style and clean lines, this 4 bedroom/3 bath property has great architectural details that will appeal to the midcentury modern enthusiast, including the original vaulted tongue-and-groove ceiling.
The Den has been thoughtfully designed to include numerous indoor and outdoor living features: heated in-ground saltwater pool, bocce ball court, fire pit lounge, covered alfresco dining area, outdoor living room, hanging daybed, and attached casita with an additional living area. Each bedroom features a new, hotel-quality mattress for maximum restorative sleep, and carefully curated artwork and décor to be discovered and enjoyed. Vintage arcade games, a full-size Pop-A-Shot basketball game, and numerous classic board games will appeal to the young and the young at heart.
The Den is the perfect hideaway to relax, recharge and soak in the desert magic all year round, while still being conveniently located for those looking to explore downtown Palm Springs and the surrounding areas.
