Modernism Week

In celebration of mid-century architecture and design, The Den will be returning to Modernism Week’s Racquet Club home tour in February 2026. Attendees will be able to explore The Den and other midcentury gems in the historic Racquet Club Estates neighborhood.

Welcome to

The Den.

This restored midcentury pool home was designed by William Krisel and built by the Alexander Construction Company in 1959. With a deep appreciation for its architectural heritage, the interior design aims to highlight the original features, including the post-and-beam construction, vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings, and clerestory windows. The space invites visitors to experience a warm and inviting retreat where restored mid-century pieces and playful, cheeky details are ready to be discovered and enjoyed, including the latest addition of a speakeasy bar.

The landscape design honors the original mid-century ethos of seamless indoor-outdoor living, with numerous outdoor living spaces, perfect for entertaining or quiet relaxation. Featured in Palm Springs Life Magazine, SoCal Life Magazine, and Luxury Travel Magazine, The Den stands as a welcoming hideaway that captures the enduring spirit of Desert Modernism.
